Starting Point

VAWE was established under Decision 749/QD-BNV dated 21 July 2014 by the Minister of Home Affairs. The Vietnam Association of Women Entrepreneurs (hereinafter referred to as HH NDN) is a voluntary social-professional organisation of Vietnamese female entrepreneurs, operating in the fields of production, business, and services.

Peace Journey

The purpose of HH NDN is to gather, unite, and promote the talents and intelligence of Vietnamese female entrepreneurs in economic development; to serve as a centre connecting female entrepreneurs and organisations representing them, supporting the improvement of production, business, and service efficiency, and contributing to the development of the business community and entrepreneurial team during the period of industrialisation, modernisation of the country, and international integration; and to achieve the goals of progress and gender equality.

Success Stories

The Association has devoted significant effort, intelligence, time, and resources to community development and social security activities. It has organized dozens of free training courses on business start-up and development for hundreds of small and medium-sized business owners across various provinces and cities.

Beyond enhancing professional capacity, the Association also affirms the positive values of the female entrepreneur community by promoting the traditional virtues of Vietnamese women — being capable in both national affairs and household management — while fostering gender equality and sustainable social development.

The “VAWE – Million Hearts” Fund was launched with the program “Giving One Million Glasses of TH True Milk” to support underprivileged children of workers in 15 industrial parks nationwide. The Association has also contributed to the Children’s Protection Fund through the program “For the Hearts and Smiles of Children”, implemented the program “For a Green Pearl Island”, and provided nearly 900 million VND in support to people affected by super typhoon YAGI. To date, the Association has participated in nearly 30 charity programs across the country.

VAWE’s diverse training courses and seminars have helped female entrepreneurs strengthen their business administration skills, improve production and business operations, and adapt to the evolving business environment. The program “Vietnamese Women Entrepreneurs and Green Growth Strategy” has raised awareness and encouraged action among women entrepreneurs toward building a sustainable business community in Vietnam. It is estimated that about 10,000 businesses and women entrepreneurs have participated in VAWE’s seminars, forums, training courses, and workshops, equipping managers and business owners with valuable knowledge. In collaboration with local Women Entrepreneurs Associations, VAWE has organized hundreds of domestic and international trade promotion events, creating opportunities for thousands of women-owned businesses to find partners, expand markets, and contribute to socio-economic development, local budgets, and job creation for tens of thousands of workers.

In recognition of these achievements, the Association has been awarded a Certificate of Merit by the Prime Minister, while eight collectives and thirty individuals received Certificates of Merit from the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women’s Union for their outstanding contributions to women’s advancement.
